Summer School '12

This year the summer school will once again be held at a special place in the heart of the West-Swedish countryside. With its long history and traditions, Lundsbrunn’s Resort is one of Sweden’s largest conference centres and can therefore offer a wide range of facilities and unique opportunities for recreation.

People have journeyed to Lundsbrunn since 1724 to find harmony in the beautiful surroundings. Expertly prepared meals are served here together with freshly baked bread from the in-house bakery. The programme will be structured in a way that it will be possible to participate in recreational activities taking place in the afternoons. Activities such as nature walks, american football, golf and excursions to the nearby Kinnekulle district. In addition to all this, it will be possible to use the Lundsbrunn health centre & spa with sauna, heated pools, jacuzzi and gym with complimentary coffee, tea and fruits!

Lundsbrunn lies between Skara and Götene – in the heart of the province of Västergötland – just a few kilometres off the E20 highway (three possible exits). The roads to the resort have clear signs from both the E20 as well as route 44 between Lidköping and Götene. It is roughly one and a half hours drive from Gothenburg and four hours from Stockholm.

When travelling by train, get off at Skövde of Falköping, both of which are one hour from Gothenburg or two hours from Stockholm. Then take a bus or taxi for the last stretch – otherwise you can let us know in advance and we will try to arrange a shuttle service for you.

The three closest aiports are Malöga in Trollhättan (45 mins), Axamo in Jönköping (90 mins) or Landvetter outside Gothenburg (roughly 90 mins by car/train).

For those of you coming from outside of Sweden, Landvetter airport in Gothenburg is the best alternative. If it proves difficult finding a reasonable ticket to Gothenburg, then Stockholm Arlanda or Stockholm Skavsta are also options, but then expect at least 3 hours travel time to Lundsbrunn.
